This shift is a 12-hour rotating Days schedule on a 2-2-3 Continental pattern (two days on, two days off, and every other Friday-Saturday-Sunday weekend) from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM.
About the role
Working under general supervision and instruction, performs a variety of moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment to resolve.
Responsibilities
- Applies substantial understanding of the job, knowledge, and skill to complete a wide range of tasks with minimal work instruction on daily work and general instructions on new assignments.
- Troubleshoots non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings/schematics.
- Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
- Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and documents maintenance as per program designation.
- Calibrates equipment using general and special purpose test equipment.
- Communicates with equipment suppliers regarding the repair of equipment.
- Maintains sufficient data to develop process improvement initiatives.
- May assist in the development of work procedures.
- May source and purchase equipment parts.
- May maintain and store backup information for all critical production equipment software systems.
- May make recommendations regarding new or replacement equipment.
- May train employees in the operation of machinery.
- May be required to work overtime or be on-call.
- Complies with and follows all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Effective communication with technical support services.
- Broad knowledge and troubleshooting capability with various electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, typically gained through extensive experience.
- Proficiency with basic and special purpose hand tools, leveling instruments, and test/calibration equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot all failures detectable at the IO level.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Understanding of electronic color codes and other component value markings.
- Understanding of safety practices requirements.
- Solid knowledge of specialized maintenance tracking programs.
- Proficiency in personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email).
- Use of specialized maintenance tracking programs.
- May require forklift certification.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Mechatronics or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of prior work experience in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on injection presses, end-of-arm tool robots, baggers, resin dryers, or similar production equipment is ideal.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this role is $25.10 - $45.19. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
