Responsibilities
- Step in to repair machine breakdowns
- Troubleshoot problems
- Solve speed of operation issues
- Handle waste issues
- Maintain equipment in working order
- Operate and optimize production equipment
- Meet/exceed production standards
- Minimize/prevent equipment downtime
- Sustain budgeted waste levels
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Start up equipment and monitor control panels
- Check and clean part tracks
- Notify material handlers of low part supplies
- Shut down machines and restart after jams
- Record production and downtime data
- Ensure a neat and orderly production environment
- Monitor in-process quality and perform QC checks
- Support upstream and downstream operations
- Perform rework as needed
- Function in a team environment
Qualifications
- Mechanical Troubleshooting/Experience
- Knowledge of feeler gauges and other measuring tools
- Familiarity with various components such as cams, conveyors, vacuum systems, etc.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds
- High speed manufacturing experience is a plus
- Soft skills, team orientation, continuous improvement mindset
- Background in car engines, boat engines, auto mechanics, HVAC, low voltage electronics, and sensors
- Machinist experience
