Job Summary: The Equipment Mainenance Engineer will be based in Milpitas, California reporting to Equipment Engineering Manager. The Equipment Mainenance Engineer supports critical manufacturing operations and product lines by maintaining and improving production equipment performance, enabling operational excellence, product quality, and business growth. What a typical day looks like: Check and calibrate equipment and ensure it is repeatable and accurate.Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate repairs to minimize production downtime.Support installation, qualification, and ramp-up of new equipment. Achieve sustained improvements in uptime, quality, throughput, and maintenance costs Install new equipment.Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns.Keep informed of production plans and progress of the plan.Work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computer systems.Mechanical: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipment.Electrical: Maintains and troubleshoots in-circuit and functional testers, associated test fixtures, stress chambers and chamber racks to ensure manufacturing test equipment is on-line.Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules. The experience we’re looking to add to our team, Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum of 3+ years of industry work experience from manufacturing companies (automotive, electronics or medical device, or similar).Must be able to guide direct projects based on business initiatives and customer needs.Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.Intermediate English communication skills (verbal and Written).Experience in SMT, PTH & PCBA.Knowledge in preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.Experience in automatic component insertion machines.Travel 5-10% GZ27 Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
