Equipment Installer I

Position Summary

An Equipment Installer I is responsible for quality installation of equipment in Data Center/Construction environments as specified in engineering instructions and drawings and in accordance with customer standards. This is a field‑based position, requiring regional and occasional national travel.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment in Data Center/Construction environments.
• On‑site analysis of job drawings, specifications and MOPs.
• Ensure quality installations by conforming to all applicable standards.
• Perform all work with safety as the top priority, following company and customer procedures and utilizing proper PPE.
• Maintain professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
• Use computer for data entry and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal, written, and customer‑facing skills.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge and skills with hand tools.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Fall protection preferred.
• Manlift/Forklift certification preferred.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Medium lifting (30–45 lbs) and heavy lifting (over 50 lbs).
• Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, twisting, and climbing (stairs, ladders).
• Frequent driving (car, van, truck).
• Noise level: medium/high (need to shout to be heard).
• Working around moving machinery (fork‑lifts, tractors).
• Protective equipment required: earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.
• Travel required: up to 80%.
