Equipment Finance Analyst I

We connect great people to great opportunities. This role supports projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities within Equipment Finance at Fifth Third Bank.
Responsibilities
- Successfully complete the Equipment Finance training program and develop an understanding of Equipment Finance transactions with Fifth Third clients.
- Develop a broad functional understanding and working knowledge of the Equipment Finance Originations and Syndications market, the business unit’s capabilities, target market, risk appetite, pricing targets, and policies/procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for administrative and servicing inquiries relating to the business unit’s portfolio from both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Provide support to the Equipment Finance Relationship Managers (“EF RMs”) and Syndications team in the coordination, formulation, evaluation, and submission of opportunity memos, deal screens, credit submittals, Rapport applications, preparation of Offering Memorandums, and assisting in underwriting, credit analysis, and due diligence.
- Assist with managing customer relationships on an ongoing basis by monitoring market conditions and competitor behavior.
- Participate in transaction pipeline, opportunity review, and approval meetings. Keep manager, EF RMs, and internal deal teams advised of all material developments.
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
- Graduating Class of 2027.
- GPA 3.3 or higher.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in Corporate & Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, and/or Capital Markets a plus.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good team interaction capabilities.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Relevant internships and co-op program experience.
Qualifications
- Emerging experience or internship experience in Commercial Banking, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to utilize online sources like D&B and Zoominfo, review internal CRM systems, and leverage Copilot to create prospect lists and contact information.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.

Pay
Total Base Pay Range: $54,400.00 - $111,500.00 USD Annual. The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
