About the role
You will perform advanced-level repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance for semiconductor equipment in the Dry Etch area. This role involves leadership in evaluating and providing maintenance requirements to ensure maximum availability of production equipment. You will interface with Production and Engineers to identify and resolve process-related issues, provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians, and determine methods and procedures for new assignments. You may also serve as an informal team leader, directing shift pass-downs and setting priorities based on production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex machinery problem-solving for semiconductor equipment in a production environment (Hivac area) and participate in problem-solving teams.
- Work under the direction of an Equipment Engineer or Engineering Manager to plan and execute improvement project initiatives.
- Develop resources to solve problems and provide imaginative solutions to a broad range of difficult issues, producing significant results.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and suggest innovative technical solutions or new work methods.
- Lead and direct activities to develop or improve semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems.
- Collect equipment-specific performance data and collaborate with Engineering to implement solutions based on Pareto data and tool deficiencies.
- Provide technical, equipment-specific training to lower-level technicians.
- Interface with and direct vendor support to resolve equipment-related failures.
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair on malfunctioning equipment to the component level.
- Take a lead role in resolving process issues and participate in yield investigations.
- Use proper judgment to resolve problems, carry out assignments, and make recommendations.
- Participate in and lead/direct ERT/Safety events during the absence of supervision.
- Ensure all required parts are on order and follow up to minimize equipment MTTR.
- Work independently with minimal support.
Requirements
- Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics or equivalent.
- 5+ years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance, with the ability to work with minimal or no assistance.
- Strong knowledge of electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics theory, principles of electrical circuits, motor control systems, and test procedures, with the ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
- Direct working experience with at least one of the following toolsets:
- TEL Unity
- LAM 2300 - 9400 PTX
- Fusion
- Applied Materials DPS Metal
- Applied Materials DPS Poly
- Applied Materials EMAX Oxide
- Applied Materials MxP+ Oxide
- Applied Materials Super-E platforms
Schedule
Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday, 5:30 AM - 5:45 PM.
Pay
$28.00/hr - $38.00/hr
