What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day coverage of Power Conversion System production equipment, including robots, conveyors, auto fastening systems, and dispense/validation stations
- Respond to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuity
- Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions
- Own equipment health and uptime metrics — drive TPM, PM completion, and reliability improvements
- Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures and schedules, ensuring sustainable equipment performance
- Lead or support major repairs, rebuilds, and retrofits during planned downtime or production breaks
- Collaborate with Controls, Process, and Test Engineering to address equipment issues, implement design changes, and improve OEE
- Design and implement equipment reliability improvement projects, focusing on hardware upgrades, improved component design, and operator ergonomics
- Act as subject matter expert and trainer for assigned equipment, building shift-level technician capability
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and machine design
- Experience supporting automated equipment, particularly robotic handling, fastening, dispense, and test stations
- Familiarity with KUKA robots (preferred), as well as Fanuc or Bdtronic for pick-and-place or adhesive dispense applications
- Understanding of automation support systems, including conveyors, VFDs, servo actuators, and machine guarding
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA) for equipment design and layout development
- Basic understanding of controls interfaces (PLCs, HMIs, safety interlocks) to collaborate effectively with Controls Engineering
- Skilled in use of shop tools, mechanical assembly, and light machining or welding
