Equipment Engineer
About the role
This role involves providing engineering and design support for various equipment across multiple project types. The position requires a focus on equipment procurement, logistics, and optimization, ensuring all components are tracked and expenditures monitored. The successful candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, working closely with team members to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design support for all equipment across multiple project types.
- Support the equipment engineering team with equipment order logistics.
- Create material requests and forecast future needs based on project start dates.
- Ensure proper tracking of all components and monitor equipment expenditures.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure vendor payment.
- Oversee equipment procurement and optimization, as well as receipt and acceptance.
- Collaborate closely with team members, including RF Engineers, Construction Engineers, and project managers.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in equipment engineering and procurement.
- Skilled in projecting equipment needs based on project timelines.
- Experience managing relationships with OEMs, distributors, and vendors.
- Ability to review and maintain accurate BOM aligned with site designs and RF requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a focus on order accuracy and resolving delivery or equipment issues quickly.

- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to align build schedules.
Pay
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $40.00 – $45.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
