Equipment Enclosure Painter

Job Overview

The Painter prepares surfaces, applies coatings, adjusts equipment, and performs inspections as part of their daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Applying masking tape and caps to protect non-coated parts and components.
• Applying wet coats of epoxy and urethane coatings to manufactured products.
• Adjusting spray gun valves to control spray width and pressure.
• Pulling triggers and directing spray onto work surfaces to apply prime or finish coats.
• Cleaning and maintaining all spray equipment, including booth maintenance.
• Making suggestions for improving assigned work processes.
• Fulfilling instructions, both written and verbal, from lead persons and production supervisors.
• Operating equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspecting own work for compliance with established standards.

Requirements

• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of proper safety equipment usage.
• Ability to use hand tools such as gages, guns, and pumps.
• Standing for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in painting or similar manufacturing operations preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
