About the role

We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and inspect vehicles and equipment used in construction and pavement preservation.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct safety and DOT inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Read manuals, schematics, and work orders; maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with parts procurement, operate maintenance tools, and ensure a safe, organized work environment.
  • Support field operations through shop or service truck work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL‑A and tanker endorsement preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and operate diagnostic and welding equipment safely.
