Equipment (CVN)

About the role

The Advisor, Senior supports a U.S. Navy customer by providing readiness and sustainment support to enhance operational availability and mission effectiveness. They collaborate using data-driven operating models that cover operations, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, manpower/training, and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic direction, vision, and mission for the program.
• Provides insight and advice on strategic direction and industry standard practices.
• Develops high-level vision with the program/project manager and senior client leadership.
• Serves as a senior advisor to the Government and supports the customer on program/project operations.
• Determines the adequacy and acceptability of evolving program/project plans and change management strategies.
• Molds processes and operations to improve the customer's business methodology.
• Applies knowledge of business management principles, organizational structures, and information management techniques to formulate management plans.
• Analyzes in-place business, operational, and financial processes and management relationships.
• Identifies and recommends programmatic approaches to redefine, plan, organize, design, develop, and modify current practices and processes.
• Develops program/project plans, guidelines, and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, physics, operations research, statistics, or engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent specialized experience.
• Allowable substitution: Six years of additional related work experience. Fifteen (15) years of related experience, with twelve (12) years in the following concentration area: Equipment CVN (Supports the generation of equipment readiness for CVNs).
• Prior military experience as a Commissioned Officer and/or senior level DoD government experience (GS14-15, O5-O6) is preferred.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
