ESI was founded as a technical coffee service company in 1989; setting the standard for service quality and customer support in the specialty coffee industry. Our goal is to help our customers serve a high quality and consistently prepared coffee beverage through technical excellence. The Equipment and Service Sales Representative will be responsible for direct sales of commercial coffee equipment, technical service, and service contracts in the assigned territory. This position reports directly to the Equipment Sales Director, working to achieve annual growth goals and sales initiatives. The ideal candidate would have a background working in specialty coffee, a proven track record of success in sales, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Essential Duties And Responsibilities The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Sell coffee equipment, technical service, and service agreements through walk-in, inbound, outbound, wholesale, and commercial sales channelsAssist customers with selecting equipment based on their operational needs, budget, volume, and service requirementsGenerate new business through outbound prospecting, inbound lead conversion, referrals, and development of new sales channelsRe-engage current, former, and prospective wholesale roasters within the market to develop equipment, referral, and service partnershipsManage an assigned portfolio of customers with active service agreements, including regular account follow-up, issue resolution, renewals, and identification of additional sales opportunitiesConduct after-sales follow-up with equipment customers and promote preventive maintenance plans, technical service, and service contractsMaintain current knowledge of multiple equipment brands and develop tailored solutions for customersPrepare professional proposals and quotations, communicate terms clearly, and monitor quote expiration datesMaintain an active sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities based on revenue and profitability, and work toward established annual sales goalsProvide monthly sales pipeline, account activity, and forecast reports to managementCoordinate with service, operations, purchasing, and accounting teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer supportMonitor accounts receivable for assigned customers and assist with timely collection of outstanding balances Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experienceValid driver's license with the ability to be insuredTime management Customer service skillsOral and written communication skillsTroubleshooting skillsAbility to be a team playerTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive)Experience leveraging CRM tools to manage pipelines and drive sales is highly preferred. Previous experience using NetSuite is a plus.
