About the role
The Newman Lake location focuses on Lameness, Surgery & Critical Care. The practice includes advanced imaging diagnostics, digital x-ray, endoscope, dynamic scope, breeding/semen collection, surgery suite, isolation barn, rehabilitation, farrier/podiatry center.
Responsibilities
- Provide surgical care for horses needing arthroscopic procedures, fracture repair, tendon/ligament injuries, and trauma/repair following lacerations.
- Treatment of orthopedic issues, limb deformities, contracted tendons, and lameness in foals.
- Expand surgical services to include sports medicine work.
- Maintain a caseload of both elective and emergency surgeries with potential for growth.
Requirements
- Accomplished veterinary professional with a passion for high-quality veterinary medicine.
- Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or surgery residency-trained veterinarian.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to support clients and patients.
- Ambitious and professional with a collaborative spirit.
Qualifications
- Experience in equine surgery and related fields.

Pay
The expected salary/hourly range for this position is $145,000 - $175,000 per year. Final compensation may vary based on experience, education, certifications, skills, and internal equity considerations.
Schedule
A flexible schedule that could be modified for a few days a week or maintained as a traditional schedule. Mentorship available on-site and through partnerships with other practices.
