Job Information
The Epidemiology Intern at GNR Public Health is an unpaid position within the Epidemiology Department. The intern will assist in various tasks including case interviews, data collection, and report creation. The position is part-time and lasts 3-9 months, with flexible scheduling.
Description of Duties
- Conduct enteric illness investigations
- Conduct food-borne illness complaint investigations
- Create Disease Health Profiles
- Absorb and file Case Report Forms (CRFs)
- Compile program data
- Request medical records for Hepatitis B & Hepatitis C cases
- Data entry and data cleaning
- Assist with various epidemiological reports
- Data quality audits
- Present data findings internally
- Build stool kits
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Current College Student (Undergraduate or Graduate) majoring in Public Health or a closely related field, or Recent Graduate with coursework in Epidemiology.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Experience with statistical software like R or SAS; Interest in local public health agencies; Experience developing and presenting data to various audiences.
