Epicor Prophet 21 Administrator

We are looking for an Epicor Prophet 21 Administrator to support and enhance a complex on-premises ERP environment for a growing organization in Louisiana. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone who can balance day-to-day system administration with thoughtful collaboration across business and technical teams.

About the role

The role offers the opportunity to work with a heavily customized Prophet 21 platform that supports a large user population and multiple connected business applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Epicor Prophet 21 environment to ensure reliable performance, stability, and user support across daily operations.
• Configure system settings, business rules, and application features to align the platform with operational needs and evolving business processes.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues within Prophet 21, working efficiently to resolve disruptions and improve the user experience.
• Support integrations between Prophet 21 and connected platforms such as B2B tools, eCommerce systems, freight solutions, and other business applications.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business needs into practical system enhancements and configuration updates.
• Assist with client-side scripting, API-related work, and system customization efforts that extend the capabilities of the ERP platform.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external resources to prioritize improvements, manage changes, and maintain system integrity.
• Provide ongoing support for a user base of several hundred employees by addressing questions, resolving issues, and promoting effective system usage.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering Epicor Prophet 21 or a closely related Epicor ERP platform.
• Working knowledge of configuration management within ERP systems, including customization and support of complex business rules.
• Experience with API development or integration support involving third-party business applications.
• Ability to create and interpret business requirement documents and convert needs into system solutions.
• Familiarity with client-side scripting for ERP customization or application support.
• Understanding of CRM or connected platform environments, including exposure to Salesforce development or integration work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business users.
