About the role
We are seeking an experienced Epic Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) Analyst to join a strong team on a fully remote, long-term contract basis with a top hospital system and client. This role is ideal for a seasoned analyst with deep expertise in revenue cycle, patient access, and eligibility verification workflows. Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, build, test, and support Epic RTE (Real-Time Eligibility) functionality to optimize front-end revenue cycle workflows.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle, patient access, and billing stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Epic solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex eligibility issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable fixes.
- Support integration with Epic Prelude, Cadence, and Grand Central for seamless patient access workflows.
- Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives related to eligibility and benefits verification.
- Develop and maintain documentation including build logs, test scripts, and workflow diagrams.
- Monitor eligibility transaction performance, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- Active Epic RTE (Real-Time Eligibility) certification required.
- 4+ years of hands-on Epic RTE build and support experience.
- Strong understanding of eligibility and benefits verification workflows, including payer responses, COB (Coordination of Benefits), and Medicare/Medicaid rules.
- Proven track record of full-cycle implementations, upgrades, and optimizations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Epic certifications/experience could be helpful.
- Prior consulting experience with multiple health systems.
- Experience supporting large-scale optimization projects.
