Epic Project Manager, OpTime/Anesthesia

About the role

1099 or W2 Zoom Remote Vaccination / Background Check / Drug Test: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Marijuana use is a non-negotiable disqualifier regardless of state legality or medical/recreational status. Remote / On-site Requirement / Travel %: 100% Remote. Must be based in the United States and available for early East Coast meeting times.

Responsibilities

• Own meeting scheduling, notes, and administrative project tracking across OpTime and Anesthesia projects.
• Track and report status across assigned projects, from consolidation initiatives to Gold Star/Honor Roll work to smaller tangential requests.
• Coordinate with the team manager and leads to identify where additional project scope can be layered onto existing initiatives.
• Provide overview-level project updates in Orion and maintain the client's preferred status reporting cadence and template.
• Partner with client leadership to sequence work given the team's fluctuating workload from concurrent go-live support commitments.

Requirements

• Strong, proven project management fundamentals, comfortable owning meeting scheduling, notes, and administrative coordination so analysts can stay focused on hands-on build work.
• Prior experience with an Epic modernization, refuel, or comparable large enterprise consolidation initiative.
• Ability to speak credibly about OpTime and/or Anesthesia workflows and terminology, even without formal certification.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote capacity with a distributed project team.

Skills

• At least one of the two PMs having strong Anesthesia domain fluency is highly valued, the client's own team's Anesthesia knowledge is real but dated, and they want someone who can hold a current, credible conversation on the topic.
• Formal OpTime or Anesthesia certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience helping unify or reconcile systems and processes that were built separately across multiple hospital campuses.
• Really need to be able to TALK THE TALK in the Epic OPTIME/Ane space so that the analysts can get the work done and not have to spend too much time training the PM.
