With three new electrophysiology (EP) labs, a new cath lab reporting system, and new facilities under construction, we’re delivering health and healing at an inspiring level.

As a Special Procedure Tech, you’ll assist physicians with the setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment for diagnostic and interventional procedures. You’ll prepare patients and provide instruction to them and their families, serve as an educational resource for staff, and evaluate lab technology to recommend improvements—all while building on our extraordinary patient satisfaction scores.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment used in electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide instruction to patients and their families as needed.
• Serve as an educational resource for staff on EP lab devices and equipment.
• Evaluate lab technology and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hemodynamics, cardiovascular anatomy, and physiology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited program in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular technology, or equivalent education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience with EP lab devices and equipment.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications (required within 3 months of hire).

Qualifications

• RCES Credential or RCIS Certification (required).
• 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician in a hospital environment (preferred).

Pay

Salary Range: $41.90–$50.98 per hour.

All roles require on-site presence, and employees must live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
