EP Nurse

About the Role

As an EP Nurse at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. You will utilize therapeutic communication, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and identify nursing problems related to individual patient needs. The role involves planning individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach, participating in performance improvement activities, and coordinating care that aligns with the hospital’s mission and vision. When acting as charge nurse, you will oversee day-to-day activities, make staff assignments based on patient need and acuity, serve as a clinical resource, and respond to requests for information or follow-up with physicians, staff, or patient issues.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all nursing care
• Respond to emergencies as needed
• Administer medications and IV conscious sedation under physician’s direction
• Scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies
• Provide accurate and timely nursing documentation in MediTech and Camtronics
• Record, monitor, and demonstrate understanding of hemodynamic measurements and valve areas

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing
• At least 2 years of critical care experience (ICU, ER, or EP Lab)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
