EO Imagery Scientist, Expert

Location: Springfield, VA (NGA). On-site, full-time (40 hours per week). Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a CI polygraph exam is mandatory. Position contingent upon funding.

About the role

Clear Resolution Consulting (CRC) seeks an expert-level EO Imagery Scientist to support challenging assignments within the Intelligence Community. This role involves developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using electro-optical (EO) imagery, with a focus on automating scientific processes to aid analysis.

Responsibilities

• Exploit EO imagery to determine the occurrence and location of objects of interest (OOI).
• Develop, test, and evaluate new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using EO imagery.
• Utilize advanced processing tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Google Earth Engine) to automate scientific processes of EO imagery data.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences on the availability and capabilities of EO.
• Apply deep understanding of remote sensing principles, imagery processing, and advanced exploitation methods.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to take a CI polygraph exam.
• 12 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and 17 years of experience or 21 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience as an EO expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products.
• Ability to work on-site in Springfield, Virginia (no telework).

Desired Qualifications

• Experience applying computer vision (CV) and machine learning (ML) techniques to EO imagery and data.

Pay

The projected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $165,000, determined by factors including work location, education, skills, experience, and contract-specific requirements.
