EO/Driver II
About the role
The CDL Operator will be responsible for executing Thompson Industrial jobs safely and efficiently, supervising single task jobs, and completing turnarounds under management oversight. This position is ideal for transitioning military personnel leveraging their skills and training.
Responsibilities
- Act as safety representative, ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures.
- Operate and maintain vacuum equipment, hydroblasting equipment, and special equipment like Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
- Perform routine maintenance on company equipment and inspect surfaces for conformance to specifications.
- Direct a crew of vacuum technicians, load and unload equipment, and perform pre/post trip inspections.
- Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer sites, and provide general field maintenance.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training and on-the-job training.
- Valid driver's license, CDL Class A or B, and TWIC (if required).
- Experience operating a vacuum truck, understanding wet and dry vacuums, and familiarity with emergency equipment.
- Language proficiency in English for safety training and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Class A or B CDL License required.
- HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements preferred.

Must have strong safety awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate various types of equipment safely and efficiently.
