Environmental Technician

Location: Shreveport, LA. Posted 09/25/2026. Full-Time, Evenings, 1400-2230.

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning devices including 16oz wet mops, wringers, dusters, vacuum cleaners, cleaning chemicals, and other necessary tools, products, and supplies.
• Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment and annual physical examination.
• After brief training, be able to demonstrate the correct use of chemicals, supplies, and tools assigned.
• Previous environmental experience preferred.
• Understand the potential hazards presented by the use of chemicals to self and others as outlined in the Department's Written Hazard Communication Program.
• Attend a hospital and a departmental orientation upon hire.
