Key Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of waste from facilities within the park, including restaurants, retail stores, lodging, campgrounds, and public spaces.
- Sort and separate recyclable materials to promote sustainable waste management practices. Collect and transport compost, organics, and recyclables from the property to facilities in Klamath Falls.
- Operate and maintain waste collection equipment, such as trash compactors and recycling bins.
- Supporting employee engagement campaigns to help reduce waste sent to the landfill
- Collaborate with other park staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and address specific cleanliness requirements for events or special occasions.
- Provide information and guidance regarding waste disposal and recycling practices within the park.
- Foster a positive and informative interaction with park guests, promoting a sense of environmental responsibility.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
Working Conditions
- This is a seasonal position - full-time employment during peak visitor season May-October.
- Work hours may include weekends and holidays as needed.
- The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions
Pay Range
$16 - $17 per hour
