Environmental Specialist II
About the Role
Under moderate direction, performs basic tasks according to highly specific departmental policies and procedures to maintain an aseptic, safe, clean, and attractive environment for the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Extract/Bonnet Carpets
- Strip/Finish, Scrub/Recoat Hard floors
- Remove Bulk Trash/Soiled Linen and Bio-Hazardous Waste
- Complete Project Work, as assigned
- Interact with Patients/Guests/Staff
- Complete Set-Ups/Furniture Moves
- Operate Electric/Battery Operated Rotary/Walk-Behind Machines, Wet Vacuums, and other equipment as required
- Deliver Supplies (e.g., paper products, soap)
- Complete miscellaneous cleaning tasks, as assigned
- Actively participate in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures
- Complete all position and unit safety-related competencies and requirements on a timely basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to understand simple oral instructions and communicate simple job-related problems
Qualifications
Preferred: High school graduate or equivalent

Starting at $17.07 per hour.
Schedule
- Shift: Evening (2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)
- Days Worked: Monday to Friday
- Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend
- Employment Type: Part time
