About the role

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in organizing the Core Repository by sorting, inventorying, and repackaging at-risk geologic cores collected from both offshore and onshore North Carolina.
  • Move cores and related collections onto new shelving located in on-site Conex units or other designated areas within the facility.
  • Follow guidance from Senior Staff on sorting methods, labeling procedures, prioritization, and repackaging standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on completed work.

Minimum Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
