Environmental Services Worker II - ENVIRONMENTAL SVCS

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, floor care, and waste management tasks in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the healthcare facility to support patient care and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Carry out all responsibilities in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will consider candidates with relevant experience in lieu of diploma.
• Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial work in a healthcare or similar setting preferred; typically 1-3 months or more.
• Annual DOT certification required.

Skills

• Experience with floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, extractors) and hospital cleaning protocols preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) or similar certification preferred.
