Environmental Services Technician - Second Shift

This position is available at Advocate Health, a leading integrated health system. The role is Benefits Eligible and Full-Time with a 2nd Shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing, washing, sweeping, scrubbing, refinishing, vacuuming, shampooing carpet, re-stocking restrooms, replacing light bulbs, and reporting repairs.
- Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste, emptying cigarette receptacles, and recycling material.
- Maintains equipment clean and orderly, and reports equipment failures or other mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
- Attends in-service education and training classes including safety update programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- One year of experience preferred.

- Communicates orally and in writing.
- Works in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells.
