Environmental Services Technician Lead

Responsibilities
- Assign daily cleaning tasks to staff, monitor completion, and adjust schedules to meet unit and hospital needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving daily operational issues related to cleanliness, patient flow, and EVS support.
- Monitor the hospital’s bed board to assign discharge and transfer cleanings in real time, ensuring prompt room turnover.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of completed work and coordinate follow-up action as needed.
- Coach, encourage, and support EVS support staff in meeting departmental standards and customer satisfaction goals.
- Train and guide new cleaning technicians on cleaning procedures, infection control practices, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial operations within a healthcare, hospitality, or institutional setting is required.
- 1 year training experience in environmental services, customer service or related setting is preferred.
