Responsibilities
- Operate electric or battery-operated vacuum cleaners, wet vacuums, back pack vacuum cleaners, auto scrubbers, rotary machines, extractors and burnishers.
- Apply floor finish or sealers.
- Remove, clean, replace portable floor matting.
- Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
- Remove and replace window draperies, window blinds, cubicle curtains and shower curtains.
- Replace mattress covers and mattresses.
- Cleans stairwells.
- Remove non-hazardous waste & recyclables from point of generation and transport to designated locations daily.
- Damp wipe, dust, mop, and vacuum various surfaces and department tools daily.
- Operate ultraviolet light equipment to disinfect touched surfaces, furniture, equipment, and building permanent surfaces daily.
- Make beds, cribs, and stretchers.
- Remove linens from point of generation and transport to designated locations daily.
- Clean and transport clean IV pumps, Gaymar Pumps, IV Poles, Commodes, Seizure Pads, Walkers, Canes, Sequential Teds, AV Impulse, Feeding Pumps, PAPR Machine, from patient rooms to designated locations.
- Fill hand soap, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, face mask, paper towel and toilet tissue dispensers daily.
- Move and replace furniture to access cleaning and improve presentation.
- Operate computer to enter and receive information for time and attendance, bed tracking, disinfection equipment, communication, equipment inventory, and organizational education daily.
- Document cleaning completed in department forms daily.
- Operate communication devices designated within department daily.
- Report all damaged areas, defective equipment, and areas in poor appearance, or unsafe situations.
Qualifications
- Can perform repetitive or routine duties working from detailed instructions and under standard procedures.
- Demonstrates competency to communicate in English to read, write, and speak.
- Demonstrates competency to use and understand the following computer programs: time and attendance, bed tracking, disinfection equipment, organization education programs, text communications, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Can follow department cleaning techniques and procedures as written.
