Environmental Services Technician - Full Time - Evenings

We’re seeking a full-time EVS Technician / Janitor to join our housekeeping team at Sagewood, a resort-style senior living community in Phoenix. About the role

You will be responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of all carpets and floors within our community, along with other custodial tasks during the evening hours. This role involves operating a golf cart, so a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of carpets and floors throughout the community
• Perform custodial tasks during evening shifts (12:00pm - 8:30pm)
• Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums and floor-care machinery
• Handle cleaning chemicals and solvents safely
• Work collaboratively in a structured team environment
• Follow proper cleaning techniques and equipment care procedures

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
• Previous experience in hard floor and carpet care preferred (not required)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safe handling practices
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to complete tasks accurately and on time
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Physical Requirements

• Moderate to heavy physical effort for 95% of the workday
• Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day
• Stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and stretch repeatedly
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently
• Push/pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over long distances
• Work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects
• Constant contact with residents
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, high heat, and cleaning chemicals

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on years of experience.

5 days a week, 12:00pm - 8:30pm.
