About the role

The Environmental Services Technician maintains assigned areas in the hospital and/or dental/medical clinics in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Responds to special requests for cleaning or assistance and maintains a smooth flow of work. The Environmental Services Technician is cross-trained in all areas and facilities of PDH.

Quincy, California is the largest community in Plumas County with a population of 5,000 residents. It is nestled against the Western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and tucked at the edge of the lush American Valley. Chico, California is 80 miles west and Reno, Nevada is 80 miles east of Quincy.

Responsibilities

• Selects cleaning materials and supplies and prepares solutions according to procedure.
• Loads service cart and transports to work area as needed.
• Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solution.
• High dusts vents, cabinets, and other furniture.
• Collects soiled linen and distributes clean linen.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, solutions, and procedures as relates to a health care facility.
• Communication in the English language effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Pay

For benefited, full-time positions:

• Base rate: $19.91–$25.41 per hour (or $41,412.80–$52,854.39 annually).
• Starting pay is determined using non-clinical pay scales, featuring 6 steps recognizing up to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay.
