Environmental Services Technician (EVS)-Per Diem

About the role

Our hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. The position involves helping patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators and lobby areas.
• Perform light manual work, ensuring routine housekeeping tasks are completed according to established schedules and procedures.
• Clean assigned areas using special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
• Use dust cloths and the vacuum cleaner to dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture; empty ashtrays and trash buckets; arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Make beds with clean linen in prescribed manner; scour and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors and similar equipment; replenish supplies of soap, towels and other dispensable items.

Requirements

• Previous Housekeeping experience required.
• High School degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.
