Environmental Services Technician (EVS)/ Full Time

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Midtown Atlanta is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The hospital aims to offer compassionate, excellent care to its patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobbies.
• Performing light manual work, ensuring routine housekeeping tasks are completed according to established schedules and procedures.
• Cleaning assigned areas using special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
• Using dust cloths and the vacuum cleaner to dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture.
• Emptying ashtrays and trash buckets, and arranging furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Making beds with clean linen in prescribed manner; scouring and polishing sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment.
• Replenishing supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items.

Requirements

• Previous Housekeeping experience required.
• High School degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Skills

• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.

Pay

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour, based on years of experience.
