Environmental Services Technician

About the Role

We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech / Hospital Housekeeper) to ensure a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections
• Properly dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently

Requirements

• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices, and procedures required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively

Schedule

Full-time, part-time (over 59 hours), and evening shifts available. Example shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (8 hours).
