Environmental Services Tech -Full Time - Evenings - 4p-12:30 am - M- F - Weekends as Needed - East Cobb Health Park

Responsibilities

• Provides support for regular, terminal, and isolation cleaning.
• Maintains compliance standards in cleaning hospital specialty areas.
• Removes, places, and transports waste including solid, chemotherapy, bio-hazard, pharmaceutical, and hot waste.
• Handles sharps, pharmacy waste, bio-hazard, and chemo therapy containers.
• Ensures proper customer service and interpersonal skills in interactions with staff, guests, patients, and their families.
• Trains and authorizes individuals to perform assigned duties in their assigned areas.
• Follows safety and infection prevention protocols, using appropriate PPE and lifting techniques.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as dust mopping, wet mopping, and maintaining furniture and equipment.
• Consistently uses correct personal protective equipment and follows proper lifting techniques.
• Complies with hospital and department rules, policies, and procedures.
• Operates and maintains proper UV light equipment.
• Documents daily assignments and adjusts to staff shortages.
• Logs in and out as required and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• General Preferred or GED preferred.
• Some experience preferred.
• The ability to speak fluent English is required.
• The satisfactory completion of the Departmental Training Program must be accomplished within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
