What You Will Do

• Safety & Infection Prevention: Performs the full range of restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning, adhering to cleaning protocols and infection prevention protocols.
• Routine Cleaning Tasks: Maintains walls, doors, glass, windows, furniture, equipment, and floors through dust mopping, wet mopping, and other cleaning methods.
• Waste Management: Properly removes trash and linen, ensuring compliance with waste stream guidelines and protocols.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Consistently uses correct PPE and follows proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
• Compliance: Adheres to hospital and department rules, policies, and procedures, and safely operates Ultra Violet Light equipment.
• Teamwork: Works with special project teams and participates in performance improvement projects as assigned.
• Customer Service: Exhibits a positive disposition, practices great customer service skills, and interacts professionally with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Documentation: Documents daily assignments and adjusts to staff shortages by covering other assigned areas.
• Communication: Uses Epic system to maintain productive flow of beds and patients, logs in and out as required.

Required Minimum Skills

• The ability to speak fluent English.
• The satisfactory completion of the Departmental Training Program within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
