Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and stock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to established procedures.
- Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
- Perform interim and restorative maintenance to hard floors, carpets, and upholstery according to procedures.
- Assemble, maintain, and store equipment/supplies necessary to complete tasks according to department standards.
- Train and provide ongoing instruction to new and existing Environmental Services staff on department cleaning procedures, expectations, and all departmental quality, safety, and customer service standards.
- Assign, coordinate, inspect employee work assignments, and complete quality assurance inspections.
- Communicate and collaborate with other team members and across departments to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
- Act as team lead during upline's absence and report work-related issues to upline.
- May be expected to work at various department sites for coverage and due to business need.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of relevant experience in public service and/or customer service in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting.
- 6 months of relevant leadership experience (preferred).
- CRT-Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) certification from the Association for the Healthcare Environment (1 year preferred).

- Shift: Evening (5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.)
- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40
- Days Worked: Variable
- Weekend Frequency: Every fourth weekend
