Environmental Services Manager

Role Overview The Environmental Services Waste/Recycling Operations Manager oversees department operations, aligning them with institutional goals. They lead improvement projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, perform financial analyses, problem-solve, and foster teamwork. Responsibilities include coaching staff, regulating staffing levels, monitoring quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards (Joint Commission, OSHA, FDA, ADA), and handling management issues independently. The role involves collaboration with physicians, department leaders, and industry partners to develop best practices for large teams exceeding 100 FTE. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field; Master’s preferred.Minimum of five years leadership experience, including mentoring and crisis management.Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, financial, and communication skills.Project management, team building, and organizational expertise.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Lean, Six-Sigma, and Change Management (ADKAR) experience preferred. Key Duties Lead departmental operations and staff development.Implement policies and systems for large work units.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and industry partners.Ensure regulatory compliance and quality management.Manage resources, monitor performance, and foster continuous improvement.
