Environmental Services Manager
About the role
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to oversee operations at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. This role ensures all health and safety standards are met, including managing cleanliness, patient room cleaning, bed turnaround times, waste removal, and floor care. The manager will service and maintain the facility according to client specifications and lead operations to meet objectives and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department (Housekeeping).
- Oversees linen distribution, supplies, shift huddles, scheduling, and training.
- Monitors performance and ensures floor care, trash removal, biohazardous waste removal, and overall building cleanliness.
- Conducts patient rounding, service recovery, quality audits, and inspections.
- Builds relationships with other department leaders.
- Plans, controls, and directs all cleaning, sanitizing, and waste removal functions to meet operational, financial, and client objectives.
- Adapts to changing job duties as needed to meet commitments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Healthcare environmental services management experience preferred.
- Up to 2–5 years in a supervisory role or 1+ years in a management role.
- Floor care experience, including knowledge of equipment and chemicals used.
- Experience managing janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping operations.
