About the role
The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all types of floor surfaces, wall, and upholstered furniture. This position may also require performing tasks typically associated with a Housekeeper.
Responsibilities
- Analytical skills necessary to evaluate and resolve housekeeping issues.
- Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control standards; cleaning equipment use; proper care procedures for various types of floors, carpets, fabrics and wall covering.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy and bulky objects.
- Ability to work rapidly and correctly on tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.
- Ability to operate various types of floor care equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- One to two years experience preferred.
- Gloss Tek certification preferred.
