Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an EVS Director position at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL.
About the role
The Environmental Services (EVS) Director oversees the development and execution of all facility solutions to ensure health and safety standards are met. Leads facility operations to meet objectives and client expectations, servicing and maintaining physical locations to client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Plans, controls, and directs all cleaning, sanitizing, and waste removal functions within a healthcare facility to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives, and customer needs.
- Leadership: Owns operational management and financial performance of the unit. Models key leadership behaviors and ensures safety, quality, and service excellence. Coaches employees, recognizes performance, and develops team members.
- Client Relationship: Establishes and maintains effective client rapport. Identifies client needs, communicates operational progress, and delivers excellent customer service. Supports new business and retention activities.
- Financial Performance: Builds revenue and manages budgets, including cost controls for labor, supply, and inventory. Ensures completion of financial statements and delivers client/company financial targets. Adopts Aramark processes and systems.
- Productivity: Implements labor and total quality management requirements. Creates value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management. Ensures consistent application of Aramark’s operating standards, focusing on sustainability and labor productivity.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in healthcare environmental services.
- Up to 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Pay
Salaried rate: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00.
