Environmental Services Dispatcher

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and discharge cleaning activities
• Monitor bed tracking systems
• Support efficient patient flow by ensuring timely completion of Environmental Services requests
• Dispatch and prioritize service requests
• Cook up staff assignments
• Conduct quality checks
• Maintain records in systems such as TMA and AssetWorks

Requirements

• Associate's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications

• Prior Environmental Services experience
• Working knowledge of DNV and Department of Health (DOH) standards
• Knowledge of regulated medical waste requirements administered by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT)
• Familiarity with infection prevention and control standards established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
• Experience working in a unionized environment
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
