Environmental Services Associate

Location: Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Part-Time. Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as required to support ongoing operations.

Salary: $15.00 per hour (Non-Exempt)

About the Role

The Environmental Services Associate will be responsible for the hands-on day-to-day cleanliness of the physical facilities of the RJKCCC, in accordance with Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This role ensures the facility is maintained in a safe and clean manner under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor/Facilities Manager or Administrator. The above list of duties is not exclusive or exhaustive, and the candidate will undertake additional tasks as reasonably expected within the scope of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the facility in compliance with Federal, State, and local standards.
• Perform cleaning duties using appropriate supplies, equipment, and tools of the trade.
• Provide superior customer service and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
• Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and move freely about the Kroc Center.
• Adhere to the mission and values of The Salvation Army.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of professional cleaning experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Working knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools.
• Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass PA Act 153 clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
• Understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
