Environmental Services Aide PRN

About the role

In this role, you will support those interfacing and providing care to patients and community members by maintaining clean and safe hospital environments. We believe our collective efforts shape a healthier future for the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

• Stock assigned areas with basic supplies, including linen, soiled linen bags, paper towels, soap, sanitizer, and toilet paper, following hospital procedures.
• Clean assigned areas thoroughly by vacuuming, sweeping, high dusting, mopping, sanitizing all furniture in patient rooms or common areas, restrooms, walls, vents, and cleaning windows.
• Perform follow-up, documentation, and compliance activities related to cleaning procedures.
• Document work performed according to department standards and communicate cleanliness status to appropriate personnel.
• Comply with JCAHO, OSHA, and related standards regarding chemical/supply use and documentation.
• Identify potential safety hazards in work areas and take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others.
• Inform supervisor of inventory and supply needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous clinical housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
