About the role
Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of a hospital or other healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets
- Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment
- Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass
- Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas
- Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed
- Picks up debris around the building
- Operates and controls high- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines
- Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment in a variety of settings for special events and normal hospital activities
- Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Licenses and Credentials: Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers, 2-3 years required
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently but also be a team player. Good communication and comprehension skills.
