Environmental Services Aide I - Main Campus (Evening shift) 3pm to 11:30pm

The Environmental Services team plays a vital role in patient care and experience by maintaining a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, families, and staff. Responsibilities
- Perform daily and thorough cleaning using the Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines in the Environmental Services Aide (ESA) Manual.
- Safely remove general, infectious waste and soiled linen following hospital procedures and safety guidelines.
- Handle and mix cleaning chemicals according to safety and infection control standards.
- Use equipment such as the cardboard baler and trash compactor properly and safely.
- Support unit operations by completing small moves or room setups as needed.
- Participate in department meetings and required training sessions.
- Complete additional projects or assignments as directed by leadership.
- Share ideas for improving efficiency, safety, and workflow as part of MSK’s culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- No prior Environmental Services experience required; training provided for those who meet basic qualifications and demonstrate the right mindset.
- Ability to operate or learn to use floor-cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and pushing for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs.
- Basic computer knowledge to support communication and training.

Schedule
Full-Time; 3pm-11:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
Pay
Pay Range: $23.49 - $32.46 per hour. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
