The Environmental Services Aide I performs a variety of cleaning tasks in order to maintain a clean environment for patients, clients and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Maintains all floors surfaces.
- Performs repetitive cleaning operations throughout the work day under specific instructions with little need for individual judgment in working out job problems.
- Works with frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions.
- Moves furniture as required.
- Replaces shower curtains as needed.
- Collects soiled linen and disposes of same linen in laundry chute.
- Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

Pay
The posted minimum rate is $18.48 per hour. This rate is a reasonable good‑faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act. The actual base compensation offered may differ based on non‑discriminatory factors such as labor market data, years of relevant experience, education and certifications, demonstrated skills, geographic location, internal equity, departmental budgets or grant funding, and eligibility for shift differentials, performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions. Full‑time and part‑time (20+ hours/week) positions also receive the comprehensive benefits package described above.
