Environmental Services Aide - FT - Varied Shift

About the role

Maintain a sanitary and safe environment for both patients and employees. Follow all policies and procedures, including infection control, for all environmental services responsibilities. Care for and utilize equipment and supplies properly. Treat patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees courteously, with dignity and respect, particularly regarding patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Follow oral and written directions
• Adhere to infection control and other environmental services policies
• Operate and maintain equipment such as buffers, vacuums, floor scrubbers, shampooers, and washers
• Move, push, and pull filled laundry carts
• Communicate professionally and provide verbal feedback
• Adapt to workload changes

Requirements

• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to follow both oral and written directions
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and eye/hand coordination

Working Conditions

• Exposure to dust, fumes, odors, gases, chemical substances, and electrical currents
• Exposure to body fluids through waste disposal and routine activities
• Mild to moderate noise levels
