Environmental Services Aide

Job Overview

M Health Fairview is seeking an EVS Aide at their UMMC West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. This position is union-represented under SEIU and works a 40-hour biweekly schedule with every other weekend dedication.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of, and aligns with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
• Participates in improving clinical, positive, and efficient outcomes
• Cleans all occupied rooms daily to maintain a clean, sanitary environment
• Prepares discharge units and/or surgical procedure areas and completes end of day cleaning in surgical procedure rooms
• Maintains and cleans areas including hard surface and carpeted flooring, offices, and public areas
• Cleans up after emergency spills and breakages to prevent safety hazards
• Performs special work assignments and reports to supervisor upon completion
• Mixes, uses supplies, and maintains equipment to aid in cost containment and safety

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Preferred qualifications include strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, commitment to cleanliness, ability to work under pressure, time management, familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment, basic computer skills, previous housekeeping or hospitality experience (2+ years preferred)

Compensation

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. Individual pay rates may vary based on factors such as FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. Sign-on bonuses are also possible, contingent on the approved and in-place bonus program at the time of offer.
