About the role

The Environmental Services Tech position at MercyOne Northeast Iowa is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in patient care and administrative areas.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care and public areas according to cleanliness standards.
• Perform patient/resident room cleaning to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
• Perform cleaning in administrative and support areas.
• Perform special functions and requirements to maintain work areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Keep equipment clean, cart, and closet organized and operational.
• Demonstrate proper floor cleaning procedures and equipment care.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to read, write, and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
• Mandatory Reporter.
• If driving, requires a valid Iowa driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Must display a professional image.
• Ability to be sensitive to customer needs.
• Basic computer skills.

Schedule

Work schedule is from 6:30 am – 3:00 pm, with occasional weekend and holiday rotations.
